NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (September 25, 2026) – Artist-to-watch Slater Nalley has released his new single, “What Do You See?” today via Warner Records Nashville, available everywhere now (LISTEN HERE).
Nostalgic and reflective, “What Do You See?” begs the question: What does a former love see when they look back on the past? Pairing imagery that packs a punch with his signature powerhouse vocals, Nalley’s knack for heartfelt lyricism is evident in this new track:
Is it a rolling stone that you never could slow down?
Is it a late night call when you drink until you drown?
Is it the devil in your rear view or an angel you set free?
The man you hate or the man you need?
Tell me, what do you see when you think of me?
Coming on the heels of his debut EP, Hey Georgia, Nalley’s new release is certain to further cement his reputation for striking authenticity and emotional storytelling that hits home.
Earning praise from outlets like Country Central, who wrote that Nalley is “one who should turn heads and keep classic country relevant in the modern-day limelight for years to come,” the singer-songwriter continues to carve out his place in the genre with more live performances to come.
Recently, Nalley made his Grand Ole Opry debut, where he performed the hit song, “Stopped Loving You,” from his new EP along with the unreleased track, “The Highway,” that delighted audiences. A powerful live performer, Nalley’s passion for his craft was evident from the moment he stepped into the circle on country music’s most iconic stage.
The Atlanta native is bringing that same energy to venues across the country, touring through the end of November. Upcoming stops include Bowery Ballroom in New York, NY, Exit/In in Nashville, TN, and a hometown show at Terminal West in Atlanta, GA, with select dates performing alongside Blake Whiten. At just 14 years old, armored with a gravelly and soulful twang, Nalley taught himself to play piano by ear and learned guitar chords on YouTube. After a series of his original songs caught the attention of millions via social media, the country artist began really honing his craft, eventually using his talents to help others. When his high school English teacher experienced the tragic loss of her son, Nalley was inspired to write “Traces of You,” which helped both his teacher and members of the community heal.
Motivated to share music that can move the masses, his performance of the song during his audition for American Idol secured his Top 5 placement in the competition. Nalley’s time on the show featured a host of memorable moments, including a standout performance alongside country music stars Carrie Underwood and Cody Johnson for a vocally-stunning version of their #1 duet “I’m Gonna Love You.” Now signed to Warner Records Nashville and with his debut project under his belt, Nalley has earned a reputation that precedes him.
Sustaining his already mounting momentum, Slater Nalley is captivating audiences across the nation as he readies to release more new music soon.
