Nashville, TN – (February 10, 2026) - Reigning 2025 CMA Male Vocalist of the Year Cody Johnson launched his “Cody Johnson Live 26” tour over the weekend, playing two sold-out shows in Birmingham’s Legacy Arena at The BJCC.
The opening weekend marked Cody’s return to the live stage since his eardrum surgery last fall. WDXB/Birmingham and WDRM/Huntsville PD Dino Conard spoke with Country Aircheck about the show, saying, “It carried a sense of anticipation not only from the crowd but from Johnson himself, who was gracious to be back onstage and openly celebrated the moment with fans.’ CA quoted Conard, “Cody’s live show is not to be missed. He is as polished, entertaining, and incredibly talented as anyone in country music.”
Additional media praised the opening weekend shows, “Johnson sounded solid and steady, delivering songs with the kind of confidence that comes from years of doing it the hard way. Not rushing, no over-singing, just letting the stories land. The show delivered exactly what it promised — nothing flashy, nothing fake, just a room full of people singing along to music that feels like it belongs to them.”
Today, Cody has announced the addition of six international shows to the fall tour schedule. Openers on these dates are Parker McCollum & Emily Ann Roberts. These shows will be on sale Friday, February 13 at 10am local time at www.LiveNation.co.uk and CodyJohnsonMusic.com.
