NASHVILLE, TN – (July 17, 2026) - Rising country/roots duo The Band Loula have released their brand-new song, “Blue About You” today via Warner Records Nashville ahead of their return to The Grand Ole Opry tonight (LISTEN HERE).
Written with the acclaimed Tony Lane and centered on heartbreak's ability to make the world stand still even in the face of constant change, "Blue About You" touches on the all-too-familiar feeling of being stuck after losing something you once loved.
“Our new song, "Blue About You," is kind of like getting caught in a summer rainstorm. It's beautiful and nostalgic, but it'll catch you off guard with the windows down.We wrote it with the poet himself, Tony Lane, whose songwriting on Tim McGraw's "I Need You" has always been a masterclass in emotional storytelling for us.We wanted to capture that lonely, heartbroken bar scene in a way that felt less like a movie and more like a painting, something you could almost see and feel. It's the kind of song that doesn't beg for attention. It just kind of hangs around until you realize it's saying exactly what you've been feeling,” stated the band.
Earlier this year, the duo further cemented their burgeoning reputation as a must-see live act at their five-night sold-out Swampgrass Nights residency with Gary Nichols at Nashville’s legendary The Station Inn featuring electrifying performances and surprise guests including GRAMMY-Award winning artists like John Osborne, Ashley McBryde, Shelly Fairchild, Molly Tuttle, Charlie Worsham, Rob and Ronnie McCoury (Del McCoury Band), Dierks Bentley, Caylee Hammack, and Colby Acuff.
North Georgia natives and longtime friends, The Band Loula continues to garner widespread attention across the industry with their undeniable chemistry and near-blood harmonies, and recently made their Grand Ole Opry debut, for which they received a standing ovation.
The duo will continue to mesmerize audiences on the road this fall, beginning with their return to The Grand Ole Opry tonight. Their upcoming tour includes stops with Brad Paisley beginning September 17 with additional performances at Headwaters Country Jam, Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion, and more.
Powerful live performers, the band has spent the past few years touring alongside artists such as Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Ashley McBryde, Paul Cauthen, Elle King, Molly Tuttle, Brent Cobb and Lukas Nelson.
