NASHVILLE, TN – (October 2, 2026) - Rising country/roots duo The Band Loula has released their brand-new song, “Other People” today via Warner Records Nashville (LISTEN HERE).
A powerful ballad about moving on from a past relationship and finding new love with another, “Other People” is as bittersweet as it is heartbreaking. Fresh off the road with Brad Paisley, The Band Loula debuted “Other People” live on tour where it became a standout part of their set, drawing an enthusiastic response from listeners. The duo also recently brought the song to The Grand Ole Opry, where it was widely well-received by audiences both in-person and online.
Never ones to shy away from raw honesty, the duo leans into the feeling of outgrowing a connection that once meant everything in this dynamic new release:
“‘Other People’ felt special from the day we wrote it with Peytan Porter. The three of us grew up in the hills of North Georgia, and we’ve all been the subject of a few small-town kitchen table conversations. Once we added it to our set, it immediately connected, and after playing it at the Opry and seeing the response online, we thought, why wait? There’s always room for a good movin’-on and gettin’-over ballad,” stated the band.
Earlier this year, the band continued to cement their reputation as a must-see live act with their five-night sold-out Swampgrass Nights residency. This fall, the duo will keep the momentum going with a return to Nashville’s famed The Station Inn for their signature Swampgrass Nights with Gary Nichols on October 22. Get tickets HERE.
Past Swampgrass Nights featured electrifying performances and surprise guests including GRAMMY-Award winning artists like John Osborne, Ashley McBryde, Shelly Fairchild, Molly Tuttle, Charlie Worsham, Rob and Ronnie McCoury (Del McCoury Band), Dierks Bentley, Caylee Hammack, and Colby Acuff.
Following their Swampgrass Nights performance and upcoming stops at festivals this fall, the band is headed back to Georgia for two hometown shows at Boot Barn Hall at Bourbon Brothers in Gainesville, GA. The October 29 show is SOLD OUT, and a second show has just been added for October 30. Get tickets to the newly added show HERE.
North Georgia natives and longtime friends, The Band Loula continues to garner widespread attention across the industry, with Billboard calling them “soulful” and “immensely promising.” They recently made their Grand Ole Opry debut, for which they received a standing ovation, and other recent stops at Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion 2026 and AmericanaFest 2026 further underscored their ability to capture audiences nationwide.
Powerful live performers, the band has spent the past few years touring alongside artists such as Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Ashley McBryde, Paul Cauthen, Elle King, Molly Tuttle, Brent Cobb, Lukas Nelson, and most recently Brad Paisley. With new music on the horizon, The Band Loula continues to prove themselves a force to be reckoned with.
