August 22, 2025—Emerging country duo The Band Loula’s anticipated debut EP, Sweet Southern Summer, is out today via Warner Music Nashville. Stream/purchase HERE.
Reflecting on the project, the duo—Logan Simmons and Malachi Mills, share, “Sweet Southern Summer is a collection of songs written from the heart and inspired by gospel hymns, blues, and our North Georgia roots. Each song is as honest as it gets. We hope you smell the honeysuckle and feel the red clay on your feet when you’re listenin’.”
Produced by John Osborne (Brothers Osborne) with additional production from Greg Bieck (Little Big Town, etc), the EP signals a breakout year for The Band Loula, showcasing their powerful storytelling and unique swampgrass sound across six tracks, including “Who Gets to Heaven? (Nobody Knows),” “Sweet Southern Summer” and “Running Off The Angels.”
